At Calvary Baptist Church, we believe that a fundamental precept of our faith is that all Christians are responsible for and contribute to the total ministry of the church, and that our ministries can have many forms as we seek to do God’s will in serving the Lord, the church, and our fellow humans.

We offer more than 20 opportunities for people to get involved in the ministry life here at Calvary.
G.E.A.R. Ministry
Grandparents Empowered Active Response (G.E.A.R) is a faith based ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. The ministry is open to all members of the community. It is a support group for grandparents/relatives parenting the second time around.
Prison Ministry
Mentoring Program : Provides mentoring for inmates at Rikers Island. The program is sponsored by The Department of Corrections -Volunteer Services.
Prison Visits—Rikers Island: Conduct Religious Services on every third Saturday at George R. Vierno Center GRVC and every fifth Saturday at Otis Bantum Correctional Center OBCC.
Worship & Arts Ministry
The Worship Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church, is led by the Minister of Worship and Christian Arts. It is comprised of four components: music, dance, drama and audio. We have a Praise Team. Calvary's Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday at 7:00pm and on the last week of the month, Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00pm.
Angelic Children’s Ministry
The Angelic Children’s Ministry (Ages 4 – 11) exists to glorify God, through evangelizing children. The ministry strives to encourage parents and edify servants, so that the gospel may be spread among our children, families may be supported, and the church may be strengthened.

Imani Youth Ministry
The Imani Youth Ministry is a full-service ministry that serves students from age 12-18. The Imani Youth Ministry exists to draw young people, to teach them about Christ, to celebrate God in their lives and to prepare them to serve others. There are a number of ministry and service opportunities for students here at Calvary in the Imani Youth Ministry.
VIBE - Young Adult Ministry
“Vibrant Inspirational Believers for Evangelism (VIBE) Young Adult Ministry is about connecting and empowering a generation to impact and influence every aspect of life. VIBE equips young adults to declare, communicate, and demonstrate the purpose, power, precepts, and principles of the Kingdom of God.
